Nectar is a writing tool. You tell it what you want to say, and it writes it in your style. That's it.
Your writing style: the name, role, and communication preferences you set up during onboarding. If you create an account with your email, we store your profile on our servers encrypted. If you don't create an account, your profile stays on your device in your browser's local storage. We also collect anonymous usage data through Vercel Analytics and Google Analytics to understand how people use Nectar. This includes page views, device type, and country. We do not track what you write.
When you submit a prompt, your text is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate a response. We do not store your text. We do not store the response. Once it's delivered to your screen, we forget it. Anthropic processes your text under their API terms, which state that API data is not used to train their models. You can read their policy at anthropic.com/privacy.
Do not enter sensitive personal information into Nectar. This includes Social Security numbers, credit card numbers, bank account details, passwords, medical records, or any information you would not want processed by a third-party service. Nectar is a writing tool, not a secure vault. Treat it the same way you would treat any online service.
Nectar uses the following services to operate: Anthropic (AI text generation), Vercel (hosting and analytics), Google Analytics (anonymous usage tracking), Resend (email delivery for accounts), Lemon Squeezy (payment processing), Cloudflare (domain and security). Each of these services has their own privacy policy. We share only the minimum data needed for each service to function. We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with advertisers. We do not use your data for any purpose other than making Nectar work for you.
You can delete your profile at any time from the profile menu in the app. If you have an account, email [email protected] and we will delete your server-side data within 24 hours. If you are in the EU, California, or any region with data privacy laws, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your data. Contact [email protected].
Nectar is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
The Nectar Chrome extension only activates when you click the extension icon. It never accesses, reads, or modifies any web page content. It never tracks your browsing history or the sites you visit. When you use the extension, the text you type in the popup is processed the same way as the web app: sensitive information is stripped before reaching our AI provider, and we do not store your prompts or the generated responses. Your writing style is stored in Chrome's built-in sync storage, which is encrypted by Google and tied to your Google account. A device identifier is generated for interaction tracking. No other data is collected.
If we change this policy, we will update this page with the new date. We will not reduce your rights without letting you know. Questions? [email protected]
